Vegetation Dynamics Development Tool (VDDT)

The Vegetation Dynamics Development Tool (VDDT) a non-spatial state transition modelling tool, was originally created to assist with the Columbia River Basin Assessment related to protection of the spotted owl. The model required input about states of the landscape, and succession, insect, pathogen, and fire pathways and probabilities for all areas within the basin.
