Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS)

For over 20 years, we have enjoyed continuous collaboration with scientists from the US Forest Service, working closely together on a wide variety of scientific and decision support problems. One of these partnerships has focused on the development of the Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS), a forest stand growth model that is widely used across the US. We have helped develop extensions; models of root disease, dwarf mistletoe, mountain pine beetle and non-timber environmental indicators.
