Federal science report on climate change impacts and adaptation just released
The new assessment report on climate change impacts and adaptation has been released by the Government of Canada and is available on Natural Resource Canada’s website. ESSA’s Senior Climate Change Specialist, Jimena Eyzaguirre, led Chapter 9: Adaptation: Linking Research and Practice
Provides an up-to-date picture of what climate change means for Canada in a range of sectors, including natural resources, food production, industry, biodiversity, health and infrastructure. It also includes an overview of Canada’s changing climate and an analysis of adaptation research and practice. Led by Natural Resources Canada, the report development involved over 90 authors, 115 expert reviewers and synthesizes over 1500 recent publications.
