ESSA co-authored a Draft Science and Adaptive Management Plan for the Missouri River Recovery Program that has just been made available for public review. The effort was led by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and co-authors include a very hard-working team from the Army’s Engineer Research and Development Centre, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Compass Resource Management and Simon Fraser University. Many others contributed to the Plan, which addresses scientific uncertainties and will guide decisions about management actions to avoid jeopardizing federally-listed species in the Missouri River system. The Science and Adaptive Management Plan will be implemented by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee.
