CIDA Profiles ESSA Joint Venture to Curb Industrial Pollution in Vietnam

The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) has just released an online overview of one of ESSA’s most prominent international projects – the recently completed $15 M Vietnam Provincial Environmental Governance (VPEG) Project.

Carried out in partnership with SNC Lavalin, the VPEG Project aimed to advance industrial pollution management (IPM) work in nine VCEP provinces by raising awareness of regulations in local community-level enterprises; supporting Vietnam’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in improving IPM policy and regulatory frameworks and their implementation; and transferring essential skills and knowledge in industrial pollution management to increase local capacity for addressing industrial pollution issues.
