Technical Support for PrognosisBC
ESSA provides technical support for Prognosis BC Version 4, a forest stand projection model being used to simulate the growth and mortality of individual trees in a stand. The model is typically used to project an existing stand from a ground-based inventory and has been calibrated for most of the ICH and IDF zones and some of the MS, ESSF and PP zones of British Columbia. Its strengths include an ability to simulate almost any form of harvest and retention, and to simulate the impacts of root disease.
