The EFT Reader software is available for use at no charge. Use the links below to download the latest version of the software. Obtaining the software requires providing some basic information (e.g., your email address) to register and obtain an active link to the installation file. Contact us if you have any questions or would like to discuss the current or future EFT feature set.
What’s new
Features of the latest release of the EFT Reader (version 2.00) include:
- the latest Sacramento River EFT models, revised indicators and sample scenario outputs (Chinook salmon, steelhead, green sturgeon, bank swallows, Fremont cottonwoods)
- two new indicators (Large Woody Debris recruitment and Fremont Cottonwood seedling scour risk)
- updated Excel reports (including compatibility with Excel 2007)
- an enhanced User Interface
- updated online help

Note: the October 22 2010 release of the software does not yet include EFT models for the San Francisco Delta eco-region.

Minimum system requirements
- You must have an active internet connection in order to connect to the EFT database.
- Disk Space – EFT is a thin client, requiring less than 3MB of space for the program itself. However, disk space requirements depend on the number of Excel reports generated where each one is ~ 1MB per indicator and year.
- Microsoft Excel – Microsoft Excel 2003 (or higher) is required to generate reports.
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 – The .NET Framework 2.0, service pack 1 is required to run this application. If it is it not present on your system, the installation will prompt you.
