As part of the World Bank’s large multi-sectoral study on the Economics of Adaptation to Climate Change (EACC), ESSA led a consortium with the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) to design and facilitate workshops aimed at eliciting stakeholder input to help identify and prioritise adaptation options for long term investment planning. Participatory scenario development (PSD) workshops were designed to reflect the specific needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged socioeconomic groups in a pro-poor, bottom-up collaborative process to identify both existing and desired adaptation responses to climate change. Workshops were held in Ghana, Bangladesh and Mozambique, with distance support provided to country-based teams in Ethiopia and Vietnam.
